Meet Your Candidates for the May 7th Lewisham Local Elections
On Thursday, May 7th, 2026, the people of Lewisham will have the chance to vote for real, grassroots change.
While the central committee is formally establishing the national party structure, we are actively building power on the streets. We are incredibly proud to announce that three dedicated local residents are stepping up to run as independent candidates on the Lewisham Your Party platform.
Your Local Candidates:
-
Davis St Marthe – Lewisham Central
-
Dan Ansell – Lewisham Central
-
Callum Carter – Rushey Green
For too long, the council has prioritized private profit over the needs of the community. Our candidates are running to change that. A vote for Davis, Dan, and Callum is a vote for our five core pillars:
1. Housing for People, Not Profit Fighting against gentrification and campaigning for radical housing justice. We demand better living conditions, higher housing standards, and social rent for all.
2. Protecting Our Children’s Future Securing better resources for our youth, including universal free school meals and comprehensive nursery provision for every family.
3. No Cuts, No Austerity Protecting our vital public services from being sold off for private profit. Our candidates will never vote for cuts or austerity measures that hurt our residents.
4. Anti-Racism and Equality Strengthening our ‘Sanctuary Borough’ status. We are staunchly anti-racist and anti-fascist, and we will fight for true equity and equality across every neighborhood.
5. Ethical Finances and Solidarity Standing in unwavering international solidarity with Palestine. We demand that Lewisham Council completely divest from military manufacturing and companies complicit in genocide. It is time for ethical, transparent local government.
