Privacy Notice

Last updated: 24 April 2026

This privacy notice explains how the Lewisham branch of Your Party (currently operating as a grassroots organizing group) collects, uses, and protects your personal information. Because we are a local volunteer-run group, our data collection is minimal and focused entirely on local organizing.

Who We Are

We are the local organizing committee for Lewisham Your Party. Please note that while we campaign for Your Party, we are currently a grassroots proto-branch.

How We Collect Your Data

We only collect personal data when you voluntarily provide it to us by filling out the signup or suggestion forms on our website. The data we collect can include:

  • Email address, if you choose to provide one.
  • Any area, postcode, or local context you choose to provide.
  • The content of any message, suggestion, or concern you submit to us.

If you use our anonymous suggestion box without leaving contact details, we may receive your message without being able to identify you or reply directly.

What We Use Your Data For

We rely on your consent and our legitimate interest as a political movement to use your data to:

  • Email you updates about local Lewisham campaigns and news.
  • Invite you to local meetings, street stalls, and events.
  • Coordinate volunteer efforts.
  • Review local concerns, ideas, and issues raised through our suggestion box.

Who We Share Your Data With

We never sell your data or share it with data brokers. Because our website uses a lean, modern architecture, your data is only processed by secure third-party tools that help us route your messages to our volunteer team:

  • Web3Forms: securely captures your form submissions and emails them to us.
  • Cloudflare: provides secure hosting and bot-protection for our website.

Note: Once our branch is officially integrated with the central Your Party organization, your data may be securely migrated to the national party's database. We will notify you before this happens.

Your Rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to ask what data we hold about you, request that we correct or delete it, or withdraw your consent for us to contact you at any time. To exercise these rights, please reply to any of our organizer emails.
